Vukmanić

Introduction

Vukmanić is a small village in the Republic of Croatia, located in Karlovac County. The village is located about 11 km southeast of the town of Karlovac.

The village stretches along a hill at about 180 meters above sea level. On the north side, it is bordered by the closely related village of Knez Gorica. Cerovac Vukmanićki is located west of Vukmanić. Forests surround the village to the east and south. The Trebinja stream surrounds Vukmanić on three sides except the west.

In 2021, the settlement had 194 inhabitants. People mostly work in the nearby city Karlovac. Most are engaged in agriculture for personal needs.

Vukmanić experiences a continental climate characterized by cold winters and warm summers, typical for this area.

Significant buildings in Vukmanić are the church of St. Antun, the local school, Firehouse and the birthplace of Dr. Ivan Ribar.
